Hello all new and returning SIG 5 Affiliates. I hope you all are enjoying your summer as you read this July issue of Perspectives on Speech Science and Orofacial Disorders. Our diligent and hard-working editor, Dr. Stephen Tasko, has made speech science topics the focus of this July issue, with three stimulating and informative articles, two of which focus on the infant: the acoustics of infant cries and infant respiratory development. The third article contains Dr. Gary Weismer's Willard R. Zemlin Memorial Lecture given at the 2012 ASHA Convention. The October 2013 issue will include three articles that focus on issues related to treatment and assessment of craniofacial disorders. Remember to take advantage of the opportunity to earn CEUs for this Perspectives activity. At $5 per issue, this is money and time well spent. Instructions for purchasing and to taking any of the exams accompany each issue. Happy reading, learning, and earning! And a big thank you to Steve for continuing to recruit such excellent articles.
