Hello, SIG 5 affiliates!
Everyone is gearing up with their busy fall commitments. And ASHA Convention 2012 is just weeks away, are you ready? Have you checked out the program planner yet? I can tell you that you will want to make it a priority to attend the Zemlin Lecture again this year on Friday, November 16 from 3 to 5 p.m.! We are honored to have Gary Weismer as this year's lecturer. He will present on the relationship between speech science and speech and language pathology in the area of motor speech disorders. You will want to arrive early for a guaranteed seat in the room (B406) for this exciting SIG 5 event! You will have a chance to interact with Dr. Weismer as well, at the completion of his lecture, and to congratulate him for having been chosen by previous recipients of the award and the SIG 5 Coordinating Committee. As you may already know from past experience at ASHA Conventions, distinguished lecturers selected for the Zemlin Lecture have all accomplished extensive research that can be translated into scientifically sound clinical practices in speech and language pathology. Dr. Weismer fits that description perfectly!
